i thought of you when i went to the mall all the sales had just come out for fall $10 off jeans you wouldn't wear again summer came and i moved in with my girlfriend and we didn't hang much after that
2.
there's a street where no one moves they just lurk and reverse between trees and construction crews he's a ghost in his own room it feels like midnight at 5 o'clock when you get home it's like you're still not there at all he can't look you in the eye because he's afraid of what he might see a passenger on a ride not forced, but not really desiring to be there either
3.
Daydreaming 02:38
i couldn't sleep tonight but i'm dreaming and i will stay here i'm at my best when i'm tired must make sure the door is tight and i check the locks twice as always they're fine but i'm not sure and check again and again the sheets and blankets fight against my body and when i drift i fall and wake back up i still can't sleep tonight so i'm daydreaming in the dark where the light is most plentiful
4.
Panic Attack 02:25
i can't stand the way i acted that day i just need someone to believe in me like i believe in them there's a car in the yard with no windows at all but it will drive enough enough for the weekend we can have some fun but the tires smoke like they've got something to say it's not a roadblock now but it's in my way i have a panic attack on the way to the mall if fear was currency, i would have it all
5.
Warm Song 03:27
put your dress on today we're going to the lake there's a spot i want to show you where a truck lost a race against the ice in the spring one day it was just gone when everything hidden in the fall gets revealed after long but there's a cold night coming so let's do what we can to stay warm carve your name in a tree so you don't forget the day at the lake in the sun that lasted so long but it's the nature of days to always march towards dust this lake and this tree and that truck are just palimpsests of time and that's the cold night coming but at least this house is still warm
6.

about

Recorded Winter 2022-23 in Paris, Maine.

Songs about building home and being home. Songs about being in love and introversion and extroversion and old (lost) friends and good friends and anxiety and not sleeping well and small things I don’t do much anymore but miss.

For the gear curious — lots of baritone, lots of telecaster, Strymon Deco, Chase Bliss Mood, DBA Rooms, DBA Exploding Head, some DIY fuzzes. Vocals often run through the same chain. Mics: Shure Green Bullet, EV 635.
