1.
the things that i would give to see your spectral form appear to me but i'm turning blue in spite of you i'll bury my skull in a pile of leaves i want to be a part of your oak tree i want to feel the weight of being loved but i can't bear the weight of being in love
2.
i wanted to stay awake for you at night, nothing goes right you own the living room i get the bed we could have solved this but went to sleep instead
3.
River Song 00:50
i want to float in a river i want to get covered in moss i want to go where it pulls me even if i get dashed on the rocks that would be ok, that's how it goes better than being a ghost haunting your own home a place to dwell when the river meets the doorway i'll walk in
4.
Soft Moon 04:32
beats me. you're welcome to transcribe it.
5.
Ghost Town 03:00
i thought you looked so beautiful with the lightning bugs around and i don't know how we came to here but i'm glad we did somehow and i'm glad you're not a ghost but i'll let you haunt the ghost town in my heart just keep your distance and stay close the streets look safer with no one around but you're there, in a vacant lot with a window, to keep watch over me
6.
the things that i would give to see your spectral form appear to me but i'm turning blue in spite of you i'll bury my skull in a pile of leaves i want to be a part of your oak tree i want to feel the weight of being loved but i can't bear the weight of being in love

about

Love songs of varying shape and songs about ghosts.

This album was originally called "None of this is very good but it doesn't have to be" and that's all still true but the theme left the barn.

Recorded here and there during spring/summer 2023.

Thanks, S, for the cover. I'd let you be my Casper any day, but not yet.

"The weight of being loved" is a phrase from Matt Haig's book Reasons to Stay Alive.
